Course Description: This two day course is designed for the semi-experienced to experienced dental assistant preparing for the DANB RHS examination. Participants are required to have basic knowledge of dental terminology and orofacial structures. The review of radiographic concepts and techniques includes: principles of the X-ray production; radiation physics; radiation biology and safety; processing techniques; processing and technique error identification; quality assurance; infection control; intraoral and extraoral techniques; and interpretation and mounting. The review is concluded with a comprehensive written examination used as a learning tool through discussion of test items. The course is meant to assist the participant through the review of key radiographic concepts and provide guidance to foster their study preparation. *16 CEU DANB Approved

This “theory-only” course has been specifically designed to provide dental assistants, with AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF CHAIRSIDE EXPERIENCE, with an opportunity to learn theoretical concepts of Radiography necessary to prepare for the State mandated RHS Exam.

Infection Control Exam Prep Course-Approved by DANB*
This “theory-only” course has been specifically designed to provide dental healthcare workers, with AT LEAST SIX MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE IN DENTISTRY, an opportunity to learn theoretical concepts of Infection Control according to OSHA, CDC Guidelines and other national standards for the safe practice of dentistry. Additionally, this course prepares the DHCW with preparation for the DANB Infection Control Examination.
